The We Are Better Together Foundation (WABTF) is a forward-thinking nonprofit organization committed to advocating and promoting Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging. Our foundation operates under the steadfast belief that our collective strength lies in our diversity. To this end, we've created five strategic initiatives, each addressing a different facet:

Children's Multilingual Empowerment Initiative (CMEI): CMEI promotes language access and works to bridge the linguistic divides in education. This initiative provides bilingual educational support and resources, ensuring that language barriers do not impede a student's academic success.

Inclusive Minds Initiative (IMI): IMI is dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments for children with diverse learning abilities and special needs. We work towards addressing systemic barriers and advocating for necessary accommodations, empowering all learners to excel.

Socio-Economic Equality in Education Initiative (SEEEI): SEEEI is dedicated to creating awareness of socio-economic disparities in education. We are committed to actively contributing towards more equal access to quality education for students from all socio-economic backgrounds by helping them navigate the systems so they can successfully find and apply for scholarships, providing access to essential resources, and connecting them with after-school support programs.

Culturally Responsive Initiative (CRI): CRI is committed to fostering cultural proficiency by integrating diverse cultural perspectives across various sectors of society. We contribute to the development of culturally responsive materials and promote policy changes to create more inclusive and representative environments, whether in the classroom, the office, or beyond.

Gender and Sexuality Understanding Initiative (GSUI): GSUI is dedicated to fostering understanding and promoting respect, fraternity, dignity and integrity for gender identities and orientations. We are committed to creating a culture where respect and understanding are fundamental values.
Together, these initiatives form the backbone of WABTF, united by a common mission: to foster an equitable and inclusive educational environment that embraces and celebrates everybody's uniqueness. Our approach ensures that every person feels valued, included, and empowered to reach their highest potential, because we truly believe – we are better together.
We believe when all individuals, regardless of their backgrounds, race, or ethnicity, are empowered, included, and given equitable access, they can embrace their unique identities, shape their future, and change the world.
Our Mission
Our mission is to break down barriers, foster understanding, and create diverse and inclusive spaces, through promoting change, access, and integration in education, communities, and public services, by serving as a bridge to accessible services, providing information, support, and advocacy for Latino families in Kitsap and Mason
Counties.
Our Vision
Our vision is a world where diversity is embraced and celebrated, and everyone—regardless of language,
culture, background, or abilities—has equal access to opportunities and resources to reach their potential,
contribute meaningfully, and thrive as integrated members of an inclusive society where they feel a true sense of belonging.

and public services by advocating to remove obstacles that hinder inclusion.
5. Empowerment – we provide the tools to empower themselves, confidently navigate their journey, make
meaningful contributions, and shape their future as integrated members of society.
